Thomastowns Industrial Past.
An exciting project to record the industrial heritage of Thomastown is currently being undertaken on behalf of the Heritage Council of Ireland by Thomastown Community River Trust.  A team of historians and archaeologists within TCRT are keen to obtain any information regarding Thomastown’s rich industrial past (i.e. the rail line & viaduct, bridges, mills, tanneries, breweries, creameries etc). To this end we'd love to hear from local anglers, farmers, historians, retired mill workers and anyone else who can provide us with oral history, photographs, letters & documents, maps & manuscripts, artefacts & antiques related to Thomastown’s industrial past.
